Wardened Sat 15th August 12.30 to 15.10,Weather overcast, drizzle but still warm.
Met 47 people the majority being leisure walkers & Dog walkers plus a couple of twitchers going down to the screens.
All paths ok but PP very narrow between oversailing grass due to the grass being soaked with the early morning rain.
The view from the R/H screen is non existant as the reeds are so high and the L/H
screen is not far behind, they both need attention now that nesting must have finished ?.
The water level in the canal is quite low lets hope the weekend rain improves the situation.
Someone has tied a rope to a tree to act as a swing over the canal next to the concrete bridge coming down from Belbins, not sure how they managed that it will need a ladder to get it off again.
Not many wildlife spots today, mostly warblers, backcaps and a couple of Great White Egrets.
