Roger Sambrook

Just a repeat of my report from Sat 1st August which i had problems posting. Wardened Sat 1st August from 9.30 t0 12.15. Busy morning met just over 60 people the majority being leisure walkers, joggers & twitchers which included the three ringers that I met by the screens. They had been out since the early hours and managed to net approx 75 birds mostly warblers. Spots from the l/h screen included 3 Great White Egrets,Kingfisher & a Grey Heron, heard lots of warblers & Water Rails. All paths Ok although the PP needs another strim, Cows also ok munching along in the western fen. On the way back saw the two juvinile Buzzards perched on the barn roof in the field adjacent to the canal calling to the parents to be fed.

The canal side path is becoming seriously eroded about half way between the two concrete bridges. I expect this is known as it is so obviou...
